Enwave Community Outreach Program (ECOP)

Enwave's Community Outreach Program (ECOP) is the centrepiece of our commitment to our employees and the communities in which we live and work. ECOP gives Enwave employees the funds to support the community groups and initiatives that are meaningful to them. These have included sports teams, scouting and guiding programs, music festivals, playgrounds, parks and community centres.

An ECOP donation has enabled the team to practice on home turf and attend the league’s annual tournament in Waterloo. Players appreciate that the sport helps keep them physically active and mentally sharp – both of which come in handy for the getting through their schoolwork.

The Crosley brothers race their 49er Olympic skiff, the fastest 2-person monohull class on earth. They are professional sailors and race in the GTA and Eastern Canada. ECOP support funds their efforts and helps keep their winning spirit afloat.

Keeping customers in the loop

With the launch of DLWC, we quickly realized that success would mean tailoring our services to meet the varied needs of our customers. Abandoning the traditional ‘one size fits all’ utility mentality, we applied an approach that addresses the operating parameters and financial considerations of each customer. We also invite our customers to be active partners in our decision-making process and seek their advice and support on important decisions that may affect their businesses. Our reward? Long-term contracts and very high levels of customer satisfaction each year, as gauged by independent third party surveys.

Our employees as goodwill ambassadors

To Enwave, valuing the people who work for us is to recognize and reward them beyond mere salaries and benefits. To this end, wherever possible, we hire from within for management positions and encourage them to select beneficiaries for our social responsibility efforts.
